Luke 6:38
"Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure,
pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be
poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it
will be measured to you."
Welcome to the online giving
service for Columbia River Foursquare Church. It is our
goal to make it as easy as possible for you to give
tithes and special offerings to the Lord, as well as
make payments for various events taking place throughout
the year.
The church uses Paypal, an
online payment service used by many businesses and
churches. To give an offering or make a payment,
simply click on the button below that best describes
your payment or contribution, and you will be directed
to the Paypal service to complete the transaction. If you are new to Paypal,
you can go to their
website to get detailed information or
sign-up for an account, or read the FAQ section below to get
some basic information about the process.

Why should I tithe?
Tithing is our biblical expression of
covenant with God over our finances. To read more about
the biblical principles behind tithing, click
here.
What are the
advantages to giving online?
1. With the
convenience of the internet, you can now make
contributions or payments anytime and from anywhere with
access to a computer.
2. By adding
privacy to the process of giving, your tithes and
offerings can be between you and the Lord.
3. With online
accountability, you can track your payment history
and manage your account with an email address and
password.
What is Paypal?
Paypal is an online service for
sending and receiving funds. With it, you can send money
to anyone with an email address, instantly. Now you can
send money from home, work, even your mobile phone. To
find out more about Paypal, visit their website
here.
Is
PayPal free?
Yes. You can sign up
for a PayPal account for free, and there's no charge to
transfer funds from your bank account to your PayPal
account. If you use a credit or debit card, a small
percentage fee is deducted from your payment on the
receiving end, and does not cost you anything.
Do
I need a Paypal account to give online?
Yes. But don’t worry,
opening a Paypal account is free and relatively
painless. Once you have created the account, you can
log-in with your email address and password to make
payments, manage your account, and track your payment
history. When you click on one of the payment buttons
above, it will take you to a Paypal page where you will
be asked for your email address and password.
Is
using Paypal safe?
Yes. PayPal uses SSL
technology to keep your information safe. In addition,
when you send a payment using PayPal, the church will
not receive sensitive financial information like your
credit card or bank account number. This way, you don't
have to worry about your information getting into the
wrong hands.
How
do I open a PayPal account?
Click on the link
here, or visit
Paypal.com and click the Sign-up link at the top of
any Paypal page. Select a personal account, fill out the
form and follow the directions.
Can I also give designated
offerings?
On any of the
payments options, you have the option to leave "special
instructions" on the second page. Doing so will give
those instructions to the church office upon receipt of
the payment.
How does Paypal send money to the church?
Once you set up a bank
account or other payment method in your Paypal account,
you select one of the payment buttons above and select
your preferred payment method on the Paypal page. After
you send money, the church receives an email
notification of your payment. The church can then
deposit the funds into its account according to the
instructions on the payment.
Why does Paypal say "Donation" when I
am making another kind of payment?
That is simply how
Paypal shows a payment made to a non-profit
organization. Don't worry, the church will still see the
type of offering or payment and the special instructions and put
the payment in the right place.
Will my online donation be recorded on my contribution
statement?
Yes. We will update your contribution account after each
online donation. Your record will reflect your gift as a
tithe/offering. You can also access your giving history
and print a receipt by logging in to your Paypal
account.
Can
I make payments with a credit or debit card?
Although the church
does not encourage making payments with a credit card, you can use any approved
credit or debit card
to make payments from your bank account. The preferred
payment method is instant transfer from your confirmed
bank account.
Can I still make
a payment by check or cash if I want?
You will always have the option of
paying by check or cash, and we will continue to take
offerings as a part of our worship times. Online payment
is simply offered as an alternative to those who prefer
to manage their finances electronically.
