What is Foursquare?

The Foursquare Gospel of Jesus Christ is the proclamation that He
alone is our Savior, our Healer, our Baptizer in the Holy Spirit, and
our Soon Coming King.
“Foursquare” is a biblical term that describes the altar in Exodus
27:1, the courtyard of the Lord's temple in Ezekiel 40:47, and heaven
itself in Revelation 21:16. It speaks of that which is equally balanced
on all sides, established, and enduring. Such confidence in the power of
the Gospel is also expressed in the verse displayed in all Foursquare
churches:
Hebrews
13:8
Jesus
Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

What Will I Find At a
Typical Service?
When you first enter the church foyer, you will be
welcomed by a friendly greeter at the door. Our greeters
will provide you with a nametag so that people can
welcome you by name and you can become more acquainted
with those
around you. You will also be given a church bulletin,
which contains detailed information on new ministries,
studies and activities at the church, as well as a
service schedule and list of staff members.
If you have kids, chances are there is a class being
offered during the service which is relevant to their
age. One of the greeters can direct you to the right
location, or you can click
here to see a full
list of classes being offered for your kids. Of course,
if they would prefer to stay with you, and are old
enough to sit through service, you are welcome to keep
them with you as well.
If you need any assistance finding an open seat, our
helpful ushers are available to guide you to open
seating. If you are new, you can also ask an usher for a
“Guest Registration Card” to fill out and drop into the
offering bag when offering is taken after worship.
There are many people from all over Columbia County
and from every walk of life waiting to meet you! Most
people dress casually, although some do dress up. You
are welcome to come in whatever you are most comfortable
in.
Saturday night and Café
Service are a little more intimate and the worship
leader usually leads from a guitar or keyboard,
sometimes accompanied by hand drums. During our 10:30
a.m.
Main Sunday Service, our lively worship is lead by a full
worship band consisting of keyboard, drums, bass,
guitar, backup vocals and a worship leader. The worship
style is contemporary and upbeat, with a few
newly-arranged hymns. The words to the songs are
projected onto a large screen so that you can easily
follow along. During worship people clap along to the
music, raise their hands in praise, or have a more
subdued and contemplative worship style. Everyone is
welcome to express their worship to God in whatever way
they feel comfortable.
After worship, greeting one another, and taking an
offering, Pastor Mike Cooke presents the Gospel through
interactive and compelling teaching straight from the
Bible. Biblical principals are clearly explained and
made relevant by presenting real-life ways to apply
these teachings. You will leave equipped with the
spiritual tools to not only “make it” through the next
week, but live victoriously in Christ.
After each service is over, everyone is welcome to
stick around and visit with one another. This is also a
great opportunity to visit the information table in the
foyer. Here you will find sign-up sheets for activities
and outings, as well as the Email Registration
clip-board. By signing up with our Email Registration,
you can receive Pastor’s Desk, Ladies’ Connection, and
Prayer Chain emails. Also, you can pick up a Ministry
Interest card if you are interested in specific
ministries at the church, and return it to an usher or
greeter. You can also sign-up for any of these things by
sending us an
email.
A brief description of each service time can be found
on the home page.
A weekly schedule of programs and events can be found
on the news page.
The full monthly calendar
can also be viewed to help you plan for upcoming events.
What Are Your Safety
Policies for Kids?
We strongly believe in keeping your kids safe while
they are involved in our programs and classes. All
Children’s Ministry and nursery volunteers must pass a
background check before they can volunteer in any
ministry that involves kids. When you bring your child
on Sunday morning, a Children’s Ministry worker will be
at the registration table to sign-in and register your
child, and to go over our special safety system so that
only you are able to pick your child up. All of the
Children’s Ministry and nursery volunteers are skilled
workers that are there to teach your child that Jesus
loves them, to have fun, and to keep them safe. Click
